Obstacle 2 (New) Red encounters her “grandmother,” but realizes something is wrong. Obstacle 1 (New) Red has played in the woods all day and it begins to get dark. The wolf tricks her into staying to pick flowers while the wolf goes to her grandmother’s house. She decides to keep going deeper into the forest.Īct 1 Climax (New) Red meets with the Big Bad Wolf. Second Thoughts (New)She sees the dark forest ahead of her and almost goes back to the comfort of her cottage until she sees the flowers. Little Rid's mother warns her not to stay on the path and not stray. In Little Red Riding Hood, the inciting incident is Red’s grandmother getting sick and her mother asking her to take a basket to her grandmother’s house. Inciting IncidentThis is where the story kicks off. The wolf tries to escape, but the stones slow him down and kill him. In Little Red Riding Hood, this is her confrontation with the wolf dressed as her grandmother, ending with the wolf eating her.įalling Action This section asks the question,"how is the hero going to get out of this?" In Little Red Riding Hood, this is when the woodcutter sneaks up on the wolf and cuts Red and her grandmother from the belly of the beast.ĭenouement This is the resolution where everything is wrapped up in a bow, In Little Red Riding Hood, the woodcutter fills the wolf’s stomach with stones and sews it back up. The third rising action is her meeting with the wolf.ĬlimaxThis is the peak everything has been building to this moment. The second rising action is her choice to disobey her mother and pick flowers. Then, we meet Belle, a young girl who lives in a nearby village-who longs for adventure. He must have someone fall in love with him before his 21st birthday. The Disney movie Beauty and the Beast begins with background information about a selfish prince who was turned into a beast by a fairy. When the South declares war against the Union and all of her male friends go off to battle, the action begins to rise. She is very popular with the boys, and her life seems to consist of parties and pretty dresses. We meet Scarlett, a southern belle, and her friends. Gone with the Wind begins before the Civil War. Romeo and his friends decide to mask themselves and attend a party at the Capulets'-when Romeo sees Juliet, the action begins to rise. Then, we meet Romeo, who is pining for Rosaline, and Juliet, who is supposed to marry Paris. The prologue of Romeo and Juliet gives us information about the conflict between the Montague and Capulet families. When he purchases two droids and views a message about a princess in danger, the action begins to rise. The exposition continues as we learn that Luke lives with his uncle, his father is dead, and he doesn't enjoy life on a farm. This helps us to understand the background before we meet Luke Skywalker, the main character.
